Created in 2006 by the Villa Noailles, Design Parade Hyères aims to share contemporary design with both the public and professionals. Launched in 2016, ten years after its predecessor, Design Parade Toulon shares the same objectives. Focusing on interior design, it is the first competition and festival of its kind in France.
A partner of the Design Parade Toulon interior design festival since 2016, CHANEL is extending its support for the festival’s 8th year through the Visual Merchandising Prize. Created in 2019, this prize invites the ten finalists in the interior design competition to create a model of a window display project on the theme of the Mediterranean. By presenting objects, a decorative motif, and furniture inspired by silhouettes selected from CHANEL’s fashion collections, the finalists will compose a creative dialogue between fashion and design around a contemporary scenography.
CHANEL provides the winner of the Visual Merchandising Prize with the opportunity to carry out a creative project in collaboration with one or more of le19M’s resident Maisons d’art, which will be exhibited at the festival the following year.

International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories - Hyères
A Major Partner of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories - Hyères since 2014, CHANEL has strengthened its support for the festival’s activities by creating a prize dedicated to the Métiers d’art in 2019. This prize rewards the best collaboration between the ten finalists of the Fashion prize and ten Maisons d’art and manufactures belonging to the CHANEL and le19M ecosystem: Les ateliers de Verneuil-en-Halatte, Causse, Desrues, Goossens,Lemarié, Lesage, Lognon, Maison Michel, Montex, and Paloma. The winner, chosen by the Fashion jury, receives an endowment for a new design project, which is unveiled at the festival the following year.
In 2020, this prize became the 19M Métiers d’Art Prize to coincide with the opening of le19M and its gallery, promoting fashion and decoration to a broader audience. The winner of the festival’s Accessories Prize also receives a grant to work with one of the ten Maisons d’art houses and manufactures and exhibit at the next festival.
In addition to the19M Métiers d’Art Prize, la Galerie du 19M regularly invites the Villa Noailles to programme events that give a platform to young designers.
