A cultural garden open to all at Porte d’Aubervilliers

la Parcelle is a cultural venue, where visitors of all ages are invited to discover a programme dedicated to the living arts, emerging creation, and the values of craftsmanship.

la Parcelle presents visual art installations, sound objects, and performances, concerts, creative workshops, and other artistic and cultural events on weekends. The public is invited to take part in gardening activities alongside the Vergers Urbains organisation, artists, and craftspeople. There are also a number of practical workshops on crafts and the natural world on offer, notably with Paris Ateliers.

Partners

As an extension of le19M’s mission, la Parcelle is a place dedicated to making, featuring a multi-disciplinary programme organised by CENTQUATRE-PARIS, La Corvée, POUSH, and La Station - Gare des Mines. Under the collective impetus of these neighbouring cultural organisations, this brand new place for exchange and sharing is a space for exploration and artistic expression with an educational vocation.

As le19M and la Parcelle’s closest neighbour, Veolia is committed to providing pro bono equipment for the urban garden with solutions that respect the environment and biodiversity.

The Maison des Petits

The Maison des Petits at the CENTQUATRE-PARIS has moved to la Parcelle and welcomes parents and children every Wednesday and Saturday from 3 to 6pm in a welcoming space that includes both inside and outside areas.

The Maison des Petits organises free workshops for children, led by two visual artists. They can play, draw, read, or share in the creation of giant frescoes or weaving to create a collaborative screen.

Playing area

Young explorers can explore every nook and cranny of the play area, shoot down the slide, climb, and play freely in la Parcelle’s wooden huts.

The play area is open, free of charge, from 8.30am to 6pm on weekdays, and from 11am to 6pm on weekends.

The green house, the kitchen garden and the flower farm

All the plants on the plot have been carefully selected by the Vergers Urbains association, with particular attention paid to the diversity and harmony of the species.

The kitchen garden produces vegetables, fruit, and herbs. It is mainly used for educational purposes (workshops, visits, etc.), with a view to passing on knowledge and raising awareness of the natural world and of environmental issues.

Finally, the flower farm is a place to stroll around and a source of inspiration for the workshops of the artistic programme.

Artistic installations

Throughout the year, la Parcelle presents artistic installations. Some are easy to spot, like the Parasol Tree from the Atelier Craft. Others blend more discreetly into their surroundings, inviting visitors on an artistic treasure hunt.
