Relive the first Nuit blanche at la Galerie du 19M

On Saturday 1 June 2024, la Galerie du 19M took part in the Nuit Blanche event for the first time with Les Marathons du 19M, an evening exploring the many concepts of performance!
la Galerie du 19M, which has been committed to hobbyist practice since it opened, organised an embroidery marathon, guided by embroiderers from Maison Lesage, around Aristide Barraud’s Murmuration project. This first event was part of the centenary celebrations of Lesage, to which the Galerie has dedicated its autumn exhibition.
During the event, the Galerie also invited visitors to attend a series of talks by artists, athletes, and creators on the notion of performance and endurance in different creative fields.
These discussions were interspersed with performances: (L)’Être Charrette by Aurore Le Duc and Calligraphie de mouvements by Juliette Baigné, featuring Sufi dancer Nour Joseph Gebrael and the electro collective, Wild compagnie.
