To coincide with the CHANEL Croisière 2024/25 collection fashion show on 2 May in Marseille, le19M set up a free temporary gallery in the Fort Saint-Jean of the Mucem - Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée: la Galerie du 19M Marseille, a space for dialogue and expression between the Métiers d’art and the Marseille artistic scene.

On Tuesday 30 April, Bruno Pavlovsky, President of CHANEL SAS and le19M, inaugurated this second off-site programme for 19M—and the very first in France—following la Galerie du 19M Dakar, which presented the creative scenes of Dakar from January to March 2023.

In the presence of Benoît Payan, Mayor of Marseille, Pierre-Olivier Costa, President of the Mucem - Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée, and Maryline Bellieud-Vigouroux, President of the Fonds de Dotation Maison Mode Méditerranée, supported by CHANEL, Bruno Pavlovsky reminded the audience of the shared values of le19M and the Mucem, between the revaluation of savoir-faire and the dialogue between disciplines.

In recognition of the initiatives taken by CHANEL and the Maison Mode Méditerranée to promote and preserve fashion savoir-faire in Marseille in recent years, Benoît Payan presented Bruno Pavlovsky and Maryline Bellieud-Vigouroux with the city’s Medal of Honour for their commitment.
