Discussion: “Lesage, 100 years of living embroidery”

True to its commitment to passing on savoir-faire, on Wednesday 16 October la Galerie du 19M hosted a group discussion entitled “Lesage, 100 ans de broderie vivante” (Lesage, 100 years of living embroidery).
This event was aimed at students from several schools with which 𝘭𝘦19M has close collaborative connections: the École Boulle - École Supérieure d’Arts Appliqués et Lycée professionnel, the Institut Français de la Mode, and the École Duperré Paris.
The talk was chaired by Emilie Hammen, Professor and Director of the CHANEL and le19M Chair in Fashion Savoir-Faire, with guests Hubert Barrère, Artistic Director of Maison Lesage, Olivier Desbrières, Director of Embroidery Operations at Maison Lesage, and Eva Dunis, Head of Creation and Development at Maison Lesage by Vastrakala. This was a special moment for the students—presented alongside the exhibition, Lesage, 100 years of fashion and decoration—focusing on the relationship between Lesage and its customers and the way in which collaborations come about, beyond creation and its various challenges.
